Share McGuiness, Regional Coding Specialist in DHCNI’s Data Institute will present the importance of coding in Health and Social care in Northern Ireland. 
This session will explore various coding schemas used across HSCNI to produce different types of data. It will demonstrate how clinical coding is applied in practice by a range of users and roles, and how the resulting information supports decision-making, service planning, and the delivery of tangible benefits for patients and service users.
Who can attend?
All Health and Social Care staff across HSCNI are all welcome to join. Staff who are interested in digital developments and in particular the digital activities that are being implemented to improve ways of working for staff and improve outcomes for patients and service users across the Northern Ireland health service.
