Preparations continue at Belfast Trust with identification of important training rooms

The Belfast Trust encompass team has successfully secured Executive approval to commandeer and equip 62 rooms across Belfast Trust for use in encompass training. This marks a key milestone for the Belfast Trust team bringing them one step closer to going live with encompass, replacing paper and inefficient systems with a single, integrated digital solution.

The training rooms will provide a protected space for staff to explore encompass and learn how best to use the system to confidently and efficiently do their jobs. All staff using encompass for their daily tasks will be trained in advance of go-live. The upcoming training opportunities will empower staff across all Trusts, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to seamlessly transition to the new encompass system. Training for BHSCT Super Users will begin in early 2024 followed by training for all staff in March and April ready for our go-live in May.

As we continue on this journey of transformation together, we acknowledge that change can be both exciting and challenging. However, the successes of colleagues in NHS Trusts across the UK and the lessons learned from South Eastern Trust, who launched their encompass Super User Training on 26 July, provide positive markers for the way ahead. Through continued collaboration we can ensure the successful implementation of encompass across all Trusts as well as a more connected and sustainable healthcare future.
