At the ’Why encompass Matters’ Digital Dispatches webinar, Angela Reed, Chief Nursing & Midwifery Information Officer and Pippa McCabe, Chief AHP Information Officer – both from South Eastern Trust – and Dr David Grier, Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist and encompass Medical Lead from the Southern Trust all joined together to explain the benefits encompass will bring to their different areas of work and how it will impact staff, patients and service users.
They shared why they are so passionate about moving Health and Social Care to digital, the benefits a single digital health care record can bring to staff, patients and carers, and why having the ability to access information on the patient portal at any time is easier, more effective, and safer.
With South Eastern Trust set to go live in Autumn 2023 it’s time for everyone to get involved and understand the impact for them and for their patients. encompass is not simply the implementation of an IT system, but step change in how we all work in health and social care, and in how the citizens of Northern Ireland access and experience health and care. It is the single biggest transformation ever seen in health and social care in the whole of the UK.
